About
I am passionate about helping people get unstuck from the struggles they find themselves in at different stages in life.
I believe my clients are already doing as best they can to cope before we start our work together and feel overwhelmed by life’s circumstances or their coping skills are a mismatched for the problems they face
The philosophy of “Don’t try harder, try different” helps my clients and I explore how they can better use their same effort into using new copings skills that help them move forward and grow through their struggles

How my passion developed
Having struggled in my college years, I felt stuck with thoughts and emotions I could never get away from. At that phase in my life I felt no matter how much I tried I could never get free from these problems. I believe when we heal, our pain has a way of turning into our passions. I am excited to offer the help to others to avoid some of the pain I have gone through myself.
Since 2012 I have worked in several different mental health roles in the Lansing area (case manager, supervisor, direct care provider and therapist). In 2019 I started my own private practice in East Lansing as an outpatient therapist to focus on the clients who I really wanted to connect with and serve.
Areas of clinical focus are:
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder/Anxiety Disorders
- Depression
- ADHD
- Parenting / Behavior Modification
- Anger Management
- Peer Relationships / Social Skills
- Christianity
